Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter

The Vancouver Rape Relief and Women's Shelter is a non-profit feminist collective that has worked towards achieving equality for women for over 35 years. They do activist work surrounding challenging laws and policies that perpetuate violence against women, and were the createors of the first rape crisis line in Canada. They also run a rape crisis center that provides free services to women in Vancouver, and a transition house for battered women and their children.

The Rape Relief website provides a vast resource library of articles related to women's equality and ending violence against women, and valuable information on how to help contribute to these efforts. They also organize an annual Walk for Rape Relief in Vancouver, and do ongoing activist and education events year round.
