OpenMedia works to keep the Internet open, affordable, and surveillance-free. They create community-driven campaigns to engage, educate, and empower people to safeguard the Internet.

Affinity Bridge successfully created a beautiful interactive peer-to-peer survey site, complex guidelines and tight deadlines be damned! Mack, Chris, and Alberto worked closely with our team to get this huge project done without breaking the bank, and in such a way that will facilitate collaboration with other developers going forward. I look forward to working with Affinity Bridge again.

OpenMedia is a grassroots organization that safeguards the possibilities of the open and affordable Internet. The group works towards informed and participatory digital policy. OpenMedia empowers people to participate in Internet governance through fresh & engaging citizens’ campaigns. Known for co-ordinating Stop The Meter, the largest online campaign in Canadian history, involving over half-a-million people, OpenMedia has proven that the pro-Internet community can come together and make change.

As a non-profit organization that uses grassroots help to promote their programs, OpenMedia has limited resources with which to do their work. They had four programs -- one survey and three petition sites -- that needed to launch in sync with real-world media launches and events:

We were presented with a deep list of functional requirements and an aggressive timeline. We had to design the sites from the ground up to include online registration and member tracking, mobile readiness and the ability to handle extremely high concurrency. 

We completed the four projects on time and on budget so that OpenMedia could meet their program mandates. The platforms were critical in gaining clout for OpenMedia so they could strengthen their relationships with the CRTC and other government bodies.
