Patch Review Session for Drupal 7 Core
We all know the infamous style.css file, and how easy is open it up in your text editor and start to dump code in to the infinite and beyond. Even though things have changed a little bit with D6 and the .info file, look at your CSS for any given site and ask yourself, "is this what we really want, a huge file where we dump everything?"
Affinity Bridge is proud to launch the initial iteration of the Ecolabelling.org redesign. A project of Big Room Inc., Ecolabelling.org is a directory of green product labels. The site aims to help both consumers and producers become familiarized with the various ecolabels in their regions, and connects consumers with green products that suit their needs.
We have been exploring different ways to import CSV data into Drupal and found a nice workflow with the Migrate and Table Wizard module. There are still a few tricky parts to the process — documentation is often unclear or conflicting – and following is a description of our steps to import a CSV file into Drupal as nodes with CCK fields.
AB represents at VanDUG for a second month in a row! Our senior developer, Robin Puga, will be speaking at this month's Vancouver Drupal Users Group meetup on Thursday night, on Aegir and automated deployment using Drupal.
Once a month (on the third or fourth Thursday of the month), Drupal developers from Vancouver and area get together to share knowledge and demo their recent work. Typically each meetup has a main presenter and also a case study. The March meetup was last week, and Mack did the main presentation, talking about "Geo Data and Mapping in Drupal 6".
Last week I attended my second DrupalCon, in Washington DC. There were a lot of great sessions and I also organized my first BOF (Birds of a Feather) session for Project Managers, focusing on a discussion on Agile Development. Conversations from the BOF will hopefully continue in the PM group on g.d.o.
The My Business 2010 site is a subsite of the Vancouver Economic Development Commission. My Business 2010 is a program set up by VEDC to help provide information for local businesses leading up to and during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.
