Ariane Khachatourians
Ariane is our Project Manager. She works hard to keep projects on track, and helps with QA (quality assurance) and IA (information architecture). Working at Affinity Bridge provides a great balance between her passion for the web, and her interests in progressive social and environmental change. Her familiarity with the type of projects our clients are undertaking, as well as her experience building and administering Drupal sites, gives her invaluable insight into the needs and core values of our clients. She has extensive experience architecting and configuring Drupal sites, and manages our development team using an Agile methodology.
Having earned a Masters degree in Health Geography from Simon Fraser University, and studied Regional Planning and Sustainable Development during her undergrad, she's got very broad knowledge, and keen analytical and communication skills. Her transition to the web development world has allowed her to mesh many interests and skills, and provide an indispensable resource for the types of clients and projects we take on.
Ariane is an organizer of the Vancouver Drupal Group and Drupalchix (group for women in Drupal), and was one of the lead organizers for 2008's extremely popular Drupal Camp Vancouver. She is a coordinator on Drupal's documentation team, and along with a few other doc team members, just completed a Drupal 7 core help upgrade project.
Her main Drupal and web development interests focus on:
- Agile development and project management
- Site setup automation (Install Profiles)
- End-user documentation
- Information architecture and efficient workflows
- Community event planning
- Social media and blogging
When not at work, Ariane can be found knitting, sketching, reading, biking, playing music, tending to her plants, and let's face it, nerding out on Drupal.
