PNW Drupal Summit hits Vancouver in October!

Ariane
PNWDS 2010

Did you miss out on last year's PNW Drupal Summit in Seattle, here's your chance to attend! Our second annual regional Drupal developer conference is in Vancouver this year, October 2-3 at Robson Square.

Last year's conference was a fantastic weekend of sessions oriented towards developers, business/management, themers, designers, and power-user/configurers. This year is sure to be another stellar line up of presentations, workshops, and birds-of-a-feather (aka. BOF) sessions to educate and enthuse all intermediate to advanced developers, and anyone else who manages, documents, designs for, or administers any Drupal sites.

Registrations are open! Register for a user account on the site, then you can purchase your ticket, as well as any of the lovely swag that is up for sale.

Session submissions are open, too! Submissions close August 6th, so get your proposals in soon! We're hoping for a great variety of session proposals from developers, themers, designers, managers (project/client/business), strategists, etc. Anything that is above a beginner level is great, including intro sessions for more advanced topics.

Big thanks to Vanessa from ImageX who has been the chief people-wrangler this year, she's been doing an amazing job! Also to Alex from ImageX for the great design work, Anne, Shane G., and Shane V. from North Studio for completing the site development work that we handed off to them, Katy from Seascape Web Design for the theming, Philip from Agentic for managing sponsors and venues, Chris from ImageX for arranging keynotes and sessions, Robin from AffinityBridge/CanTrust hosting for the server support and pro-bono hosting, Ryan from Katanamite for promoting the conference, Dale and Angus for working on the Training day (more details to come on this) and everyone else who's pitched in! It's been great seeing a lot of new people step up to pull this all together.

Big thanks to last year's awesome organizing committee from the Seattle group, who graciously donated their surplus funds from last year's Summit to be used as seed money for this year, which helped with venue deposits and such. This year's committee hopes to pass on a nice surplus to next year's committee (tentatively the Portland Drupalfolks).

If you loved DrupalCamp Vancouver, don't miss the Summit, it'll be loads of fun and you'll learn a ton from all your supersmart Drupal colleagues from all around the Pacific Northwest! Cascadia FTW!
